LINDA AND MICK’S £60k VIC BATTLE

-

THERE are heartbreaking scenes as Mick and Linda Carter grapple with the problem of how they are going to raise the money to save their beloved Queen Vic.

During Friday night’s dramatic episode the couple were left devastated when they were told to pay £60,000 to Grafton Hill within the next five weeks or face ruin.

Scheming Fi Browning, the daughter of rapist James WillmottBrown, returned with an offer to buy the pub to stop them from losing everything.

And it looked like Mick had agreed to the deal until Fi’s uncle Hugo discovered he had signed the paperwork “Lady Di” – the name of the family’s pet dog.

He then told Hugo that he was off his “posh little nut” if he thought he was going to hand over their precious pub without a fight.

But in tomorrow night’s episode the couple realise the enormity of trying to raise tens of thousands of pounds.

An EastEnders insider said: “Mick and PETE Barton starts to suspect that his halfbrother Adam was the one who killed his mum Emma.

Pete has been determined to find out who pushed deranged Emma to her death ever since the police revealed it was murder.

On Thursday, viewers will see Pete turn his attentions to Adam after he discovers he recently changed the tyres on his car.

Adam is late for an adoption meeting and ends up stranded. His wife Victoria pleads with Pete to go and get him as she prepares for the meeting alone.

But when Pete arrives to pick Adam up, he discovers his tyres were changed recently. When they get back to the farm he becomes even more suspicious and decides Linda are beside themselves with worry. They have five weeks to come up with the cash or else they will lose their pub, and their home.

“After everything that happened during the meeting with Hugo and Fi they know it’s all or nothing.

“They are not going down without a fight and are determined to do everything they can to come up with the cash.

“But it’s going to be a very tense few weeks.”

Follow all the drama on BBC One as the enormity of Mick and Linda’s problems hit home. to challenge him. Adam becomes angry very quickly, further fuelling Pete’s suspicions.

An Emmerdale insider said: “He then goes to the police with the information and becomes convinced Adam’s car was at the viaduct when Emma was killed. Why else would he change all his tyres?

“Adam has got a dodgy track record and made no secret of his hatred for Emma. He also ran after Emma into the woods with a gun after finding his mum Moira unconscious outside the barn.”

ITV viewers can watch the drama unfold on Thursday.
