Alan Alencar, 29, is accused of shoving dad-oftwo Alain Lesjongard, 55, on to the tracks at London’s Bayswater Station on Thursday.

His alleged crime saw a District Line driver slam on the brakes as he pulled into the West London station, but Mr Lesjongard was still hit.

Mr Lesjongard, a compliance executive, managed to crawl out from under the train and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Appearing at Westminster Magistrates Court in London yesterday, Alencar spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth.

The defendant, who wore a grey tracksuit, also indicated through his barrister that he intended to plead not guilty to attempted murder.

Alencar was remanded in custody and will next appear at the capital’s Blackfriars Crown Court on December 1.
