Pollard in the firing line

-

CAIN Dingle steps in to break up a row in the on-off relationship between his mum Faith and Eric Pollard.

But worse is to come when Pollard unwittingly puts the Dingles’ home in line for demolition while saving his own property.

The storyline kicks off when Morris, an old pal of Pollard on the local council, gets in touch to arrange a game of golf.

Pollard is horrified when Morris tells him of the plans to build a road right through his house. Morris says he can help – but only if he pays him off. Furious Pollard can’t believe what he is hearing and storms off.

He’s unable to imagine losing the home he shared with his beloved wife Val and realises he must pay. An Emmerdale insider said: “Pollard and Faith are arguing again. “But things get even worse when he discovers it’s the Dingles’ house that the council are now planning to demolish.

“Pollard suddenly realises the enormity of what he’s done.

“By paying off Morris he’s saved his house but it now looks like the entire Dingle clan will be made homeless.

“He is completely shocked and doesn’t know what to do next. The last thing he wants is for Faith and the rest of the Dingles to discover it was him who put the family house in the path of the new access road.”

Follow it on ITV this Wednesday.
