Believing she has spent the afternoon boozing, Mary calls the police, accusing Angie of drink-driving and endangering her grandson’s life. A Corrie insider said: “Mary just can’t help herself. As far as she’s concerned she’s doing everything she can to ensure the safety of her grandson.
“She’s convinced that Angie is an alcoholic and is terrified for George’s safety.
“Mary and Angie’s relationship is so fragile and poor Jude is stuck in the middle.
“If she is wrong this could have serious repercussions for Mary’s relationship with both her son and grandson.”
