Wanted Poch will not leave Spur-fect club

MAURICIO POCHETTINO will resist overtures from Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain to finish his work at Tottenham.

His star is sky-high following Spurs’ Champions League demolition of Real.

PSG have made it known they want him, while the Spaniards are whispering his name after slipping to third place in La Liga this season.

But Pochettino – who admits he would one day love to manage England – has no intention of jumping ship.

“I would not change Tottenham for any other place in the world,” he said.

He claims that his relationships with the players, fans and chairman Daniel Levy are so deep he does not even think of leaving White Hart Lane.

The Argentine, 45, said: “If you will read my book, you will understand that I am not a person whose motivation is only himself.

“My motivation is to work and to create something special. I love to work and feel part of the project.

“I cannot guess what happens in Real Madrid or Barcelona or at other clubs.

“I don’t think about tomorrow. I don’t think about next season because it doesn’t depend only on me, it depends on many circumstances.

“And it’s so important to be respectful and prudent.

“For me, the most important club in the world is Tottenham. And for me, it is the best club in the world.

“That emotion is real because I cannot be fake. “Today, I do not change Tottenham for another position in the world because I am so involved and because I think the club deserves to have people that think only about the club, the fans, the players and the structures that provide us an unbelievable life. “And it is so important for us to pay back the club in the same way the club treats us.” Spurs are third in the Premier League and through to the knockout stages of the Champions League. Pochettino (left) said: “We can achieve so much here. That is my belief.

“That is why I fight a lot, because I believe in this club, in the philosophy. “I believe in Daniel Levy and I believe that we can build a fantastic team that can achieve all that we dream. “Tottenham have a massive potential. “The fans are so excited about getting to the new stadium.

“All the facilities are nearly ready. And all those things will help us achieve our dreams.

“It is impossible not to feel proud and to be excited about the future of Tottenham.” SHOUT IT TO THE TOP: Guardiola can lead City to Treble glory
