GIVE ME RESPECT

- ■ by STEVE MILLAR ■ by TONY STENSON

JOSE MOURINHO says he should be shown more respect for being a serial winner.

The Man United boss is also brassed off with pundits drooling over Tottenham’s Champions League triumph over mighty Real Madrid.

Mourinho believes United hit the same heights in their victory over Spurs yet everything was “negative” about the Old Trafford performance when his side claimed all three points. In a frank admission, Mourinho says that if he surpasses his current total of 25 trophies then maybe he “will have a little bit of credit”.

Ahead of a return to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea today, Mourinho does not look enamoured with life but insists he is not at all unsettled just 17 months into his reign at the Theatre of Dreams despite ANTONIO CONTE has taunted Jose Mourinho by claiming it was a “miracle” Chelsea won the title with the players he left behind.

Ahead of today’s clash at Stamford Bridge the Man United boss said it is a “dream” for a coach to be the one to replace him.

But Conte reckons it is not that simple, especially as the Blues side Mourinho assembled finished 10th in 2015-16 before last season’s run to the title.

He said: “You have to know when it is a good time to win the league or when it is a surprise.

“If it is a surprise it means you are doing a miracle. I think last season was a miracle for us.

“Chelsea’s name sometimes covers the miracle, only because your name is Chelsea.

“When you finish 10th you have the opposite of the miracle.”
