DAVID Beckham will earn £1.5million for every word he says in a telly commercial.

The ex-England and Manchester United ace scored a £15.2m deal to promote telecom giant Sprint and the iPhone X in the US.

And he says only 10 words in the 31-second promo.

The football icon earned more than £34m from advertising last year, according to Forbes magazine. Becks, 42, is now the second highestearning former sports legend in the US.

Only basketball’s Michael Jordan has netted more, with just over £52m last year.

And LA-based media analyst Mike Raia says sought-after Becks is likely to overtake his rival next year.
