Not so Shore

-

GEORDIE Shore babe Sophie Kasaei fears the MTV show could be axed. The popular reality star reckons the long-running hit series needs to be revamped to compete with Love Island and TOWIE.

Sophie told me: “It’s scary because people keep asking when it is going to end as it has been on for so long. I don’t want it to end so it does need changing up a bit which they are doing.

“We can now talk about things that have been going on outside the house in our personal lives. “TOWIE is so good because they can bring in what’s said on Twitter and what happens off the show and I think if Geordie Shore does that it will continue for a lot longer.”

Geordie Shore became an instant hit when it was launched back in 2011 but Sophie admitted ITV2’s Love Island has since stolen its thunder.

She added: “I think Love Island has taken over reality TV a lot.

“When they come along it does affect all our endorsements and publicity a lot.

“It has become such a huge show that they do get all of the attention and new promotions.

“But we are lucky to be on MTV’s brand. Love Island blows up in the UK for a few months but then it dies down.

“Geordie Shore is global and we are the same cast that keeps coming back, whereas next year there will be a whole new cast on Love Island.”
