Flinders keeps mad Hatters off the top

LUTON were denied top spot after Cheltenham keeper Scott Flinders assisted a stoppage-time equaliser in a 2-2 draw at Whaddon Road.

Elliott Lee’s late goal looked to be sending the Hatters to the top, but Will Boyle salvaged a point for the Robins deep into added time after Flinders (below) flicked on a corner. Dan Potts opened the scoring before Jamie Grimes claimed Cheltenham’s first leveller.

Alex MacDonald claimed a late winner as Mansfield won 1-0 at Coventry, while Thomas Verheydt cancelled out Christian Doidge’s opener to earn Crawley a 1-1 draw against Forest Green.
