A Boks bashing

Ireland 38 S Africa 3

RAMPANT Ireland recorded a memorable victory thanks to a sensational team display.

Joe Schmidt’s men were

14-0 ahead at the interval. A Jonny Sexton penalty in the third minute got their noses in front early on and the fly-half added two more in the 15th and

20th minutes.

But the biggest cheer came shortly before half-time when Courtnall Skosan made a hash of fielding a kick and Andrew Conway grabbed the loose ball to scoot over.

In the second half, an Elton Jantjies penalty got the Springboks on the board but Sexton restored a 14-point lead.

The game was then put to bed in the last 10 minutes with three late tries by Rhys Ruddock, Rob Herring and Jacob Stockdale, all improved by Sexton and Joey Carbery.
