Brendan hints at quitting
BRENDAN Cole has dropped a big hint that he could leave Strictly after 13 years.
Brendan, 41, has been one of the professional dancers since the first series in 2004.
But in an emotional interview he appeared to bid farewell to the dance contest.
Speaking on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two, Brendan reminisced about his favourite moments.
He said: “Fifteen series of Strictly Come Dancing…it’s been euphoric, it’s been tough. It is my life and I’m very, very proud to have been a part of every single second of it.”
His best result was in the first series when he won with TV presenter Natasha Kaplinsky. Recalling their time together, Brendan said: “I did the very first dance on the very first Strictly ever. My first partner, the lovely Natasha Kaplinsky.
“Making the final with Natasha is a highlight of my career. The elation of winning was spectacular. What a way to start Strictly Come Dancing.”
There has been speculation Brendan plans to leave the show after bosses did not pick him to replace Len Goodman on the judging panel.
And in a recent interview he refused to rule out leaving this year.
Brendan said: “As for quitting Strictly next year or not…that’s my decision, one which I will come to when I’m ready.”
