‘TURBO’ ECSTASY KILLING TEENS

- ■ EXCLUSIVE by JOE HINTON sunday@dailystar.co.uk

CAR-THEMED Ecstasy pills which have killed two teenagers are flooding our streets, the Daily Star Sunday can reveal.

The “Rolls-Royce” and “Tesla” tablets – branded to attract youngsters – are being sold in thousands on the so-called Dark Web.

But teenagers have no idea how strong the “turbocharged” substances really are.

This month Drake Morgan-Baines,

19, suffered a fatal cardiac arrest and brain seizure after taking a Tesla pill at a nightclub in Bristol.

Weeks earlier Morgan Miller-Smith,

16, died after “dropping” pink RollsRoyce tablets at a Halloween rave in Conwy, North Wales.

They are the latest in a line of Ecstasy deaths in the UK.

But cash-hungry dealers are continuing to peddle the pills. They are pressing them in home labs or shipping them from Germany and Amsterdam.

They are then flogging them in bulk – some even posting them via Royal Mail – on encrypted drug markets to youngsters who pay using the web currency Bitcoin.

Our investigators found scores of UK sellers on the Dark Web – a corner of the internet where dealers can ply their trade anonymously.

One UK vendor was offering 15 blue Tesla pills laced with 250mg of MDMA – double the average dosage for an Ecstasy tablet – for just £55.

The post read: “We would like to present our BLUE TESLA XTC PILLS

230-250MG. These are brand new in to us. We have been informed that these are one of the cleanest pills around.

“*CAUTION* – THESE PILLS ARE A LOT STRONGER THAN OUR REGULAR XTC PILLS.”

Another UK seller was offering five for £22.50. He posted: “Nice pills. Bit strong for me – I only needed half.”

Vendors from Germany offered them more cheaply, with one setting his price at £95 for 50.

On one market, which we are not naming, there were a staggering 391 listings for Tesla pills of all colours.

We found 398 listings for the deadly pink Rolls-Royce tablets. A UK-only vendor listed five for £20 with free next day delivery.

He wrote: “Our goal is speedy/ discreet delivery, top quality and happy customer.”

Another offered 25 250mg yellow Rolls-Royce pills for £61.25 – just £2.45 per tablet. His post read: “Our team of experts are ready and waiting, poised like a stalking cheetah, eager to cater your every whim.”

A report last year from the RAND drug policy research centre revealed the UK has the largest number of online drug dealers in Europe.
