Chad Swan to watch

- ■ by HARRY PRATT

SWANSEA are set to renew their interest in West Brom playmaker Nacer Chadli.

The £13million Belgium star, 28, is currently sidelined with a muscle injury picked up on international duty in November.

But while he has barely featured all season for struggling Albion, Chadli (right) is still a top target for Swansea.

Liberty Stadium boss Paul Clement tried to sign the ex-Spurs and FC Twente midfielder in the summer.

But he failed with a £15m bid as then-Baggies boss Tony Pulis refused to let Chadli go without finding a replacement. However, the

REAL MADRID target Mauro Icardi wants to stay at Inter Milan.

But wife Wanda Nara, who is also his agent, says the forward’s future at the club is out of his control.

The pressure on Icardi, 24, has been growing since he blasted fans in his autobiography last year but speaking to Italian TV, Nara Swans can expect to have better luck in the new year when Albion are also looking to do transfer business.

The fact new Hawthorns head coach Alan Pardew must sell before adding any new faces should help the Welsh club.

After blowing £35m in the last window, the Midlands outfit are unable to spend any significant amount in January without breaking Financial Fair Play rules.

said: “The heart of Mauro and our children is blue and black.

“We hope to always be here but it depends on the club.”

Pressed on rumours a move to Madrid could still happen, Nara added: “I do not know anything, I don’t say yes or no.

“Mauro would stay at Inter all his life but it depends on other things.”
