Be boss Jose’s Rom to watch

-

stunning start to Old Trafford life when he blitzed 11 goals in his first 10 appearances but Olsson believes another purple patch could be around the corner.

The defender, 34, said: “He’s had an excellent season so far – and the way he began it was unbelievable. He hasn’t been poor in the last few games but when you start a season like he did, people expect you to carry on like that. But that’s simply not possible.

“I’m sure he’s going to score a lot more goals this season – although, hopefully, not today. Romelu is the best striker in the league – the guy has it all.”

Olsson always rated Lukaku as world class and thought he was destined for the very top.

Indeed, he likens him to his United team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic – both in terms of talent and character to succeed.

Swede Olsson added: “The way they portray themselves to the world is slightly different but both are very intelligent and very warm.

“We all deal with fame and pressure in different ways. Zlatan’s has always seen to be a bit cocky. Rom’s always been like this but in a different way – he was a superstar at 16. He kept his feet on the ground and stayed focused on where he was going and what it would take to get there. And he’s done it.”

Olsson reckons the return to fitness of fellow Swede Ibrahimovic, 36, after knee surgery is perfect timing for Lukaku.

“That can ease pressure because, of course, as a striker you always feel pressure,” said the ex-Baggies ace (right), capped 25 times by Sweden.
