Fight’s a big deal for Max
LOVE Island star Adam Maxted will fight WWE legend Rey Mysterio in a historic TV deal.
Former stripper Adam,
25, has made a name for himself in wrestling following a stint on the ITV2 reality show last year.
The hunk, nicknamed Flex, has signed up for the 5 Star Wrestling fight at the SSE Arena in his home city of Belfast on March 1.
A wrestling source said: “Adam didn’t have a very successful run on Love Island but he’s certainly making a name for himself in wrestling.
“He’s already fought WWE’s Drew McIntyre and TNA’s Bram.
“Now his fight with Rey Mysterio will cement his status as one of our up and coming stars.”
5 Star Wrestling are on course to become Europe’s equivalent of WWE.
They are the first and only UK promotion to broadcast wrestling events live on television.
Now, they have landed a national deal with TV channel FreeSports. It will see events broadcast live every week, starting on February 1.
