Micah won’t Hyde from play-off heat

A BRIT SPECIAL: World champ Anthony Joshua BUFFALO may be looking forward to their first play-off game this CENTURY – but for safety Micah Hyde it is just business as usual.

Ex-Green Bay star Hyde, who has been to the end-of-season showdown every year in his career so far, knows there is something a little special about tonight’s game against Jacksonville.

“It’s 10 times more exciting,” he said. “The way we got in, watching the game finish after our game was one of the greatest sports moments I’ve ever been a part of.

“That we pushed through all of the adversity and trades this year and are still in the position we’re in, it just shows the guys we have in this locker room and the coaching staff we have.”

Hyde (below) went to the play-offs for all four of his seasons in Green Bay and will be doing all he can in tonight’s wildcard game to make sure he suits up again next weekend, where Super Bowl LII favourites New England will be waiting should the Bills be victorious. If Jacksonville win, however, they will travel to Pittsburgh next weekend.

In today’s other game, New Orleans host Carolina in the NFC wildcard round and Saints linebacker Manti Te’o is ready to savour every moment.

He said: “I’m excited. I played in the play-offs in my rookie year back in 2013 so I really understand what a privilege it is.

“Some of the older players back then told me I should really treasure those moments. Now I understand what they were saying after taking four years to get back to it.”
