Royal’s secret plan for £50k Roo-style transplant PRINCE HAIRY

- ■ EXCLUSIVE by PAUL MARTIN

BALDING Prince Harry is to splash out £50,000 on a hair transplant.

The prince is planning a Wayne Rooney-style op to cover a bald patch on the top of his head.

His closest friends have been sworn to secrecy over his plans. But his fiancée Meghan Markle is said to be “massively behind” his decision to go under the knife.

Harry will ask the royal household for special permission to undergo the procedure. But he has been warned to wait until after his May wedding to Meghan so that his new hairdo doesn’t steal the headlines on their big day.

A source close to the prince, 33, revealed: “Harry knows that with his family genes he’s going to be losing a lot of hair in the coming few years. His brother William has already lost loads of hair.

“He’s noticed on a lot of his appearances with Meghan that a bald patch at the top of his scalp is getting much bigger.

“He’s a modern prince and he wants to stay looking as young as possible for as long as possible.”

They added: “Meghan helped to talk him into it because she’s seen dozens of male friends in Hollywood going for these treatments and thinks they are amazing. She has put him directly in touch with an expert in this field who loads of the big stars in America use, so it’s definitely going to happen.

“Harry is looking at splashing out on the expensive procedure later in the year when all the commotion around the wedding calms down.”

Big brother Wills caused a stir two weeks ago when he sported a buzz cut. But Harry wants to go to the other extreme – and may have to undergo as many as four procedures to get the perfect natural look.

The source said: “Harry knows everyone will make a massive deal out of it, but he feels he’s young enough at 33 that he shouldn’t feel bad about wanting to reverse his hair loss.”

The prince will be following in the steps of dozens of celebs. As well as Everton ace Rooney, A-listers including Chris Martin, David Beckham and Matthew McConaughey are rumoured to have had transplants. The pal added: “Harry is determined to go ahead with this although he’s sworn all his mates to secrecy.

“He wants to have all the procedures completed by the end of the year.”
