King Cavani breaks Zlatan’s goal record

- EURO ROUND-UP

EDINSON CAVANI made PSG history yesterday by overtaking Zlatan Ibrahimovic as their all-time top scorer.

The striker (below) made it 157 goals in 229 games for the French league leaders in a comfortable 4-0 win over Montpellier.

A Neymar double and an Angel Di Maria goal ensured they went 11 points clear of Lyon.

In Germany striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang played the full 90 minutes for Dortmund in a 2-2 draw against Freiburg.

But it was defender Jeremy Toljan who secured a point late on.

The striker, 28, has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this month and was not part of Dortmund’s match-day squad last week.

But his inclusion was not enough to claim all three points.

Former Man United midfielder Shinji Kagawa gave Dortmund the lead after nine minutes.

But a double from in-form striker Nils Petersen, which included a 40-yard chip, turned the game on its head.

And it looked as if Dortmund were set to drop to seventh in the league until Toljan fired home in the final minute.

League leaders Bayern Munich had to come from behind to win 5-2 at home to Hoffenheim.

The visitors found themselves two goals to the good after 12 minutes, with Mark Uth and Serge Gnabry, on loan from Bayern Munich, the goalscorers.

But by half time the scores were level with goals from Robert Lewandowski and Jerome Boateng. Kingsley Coman then completed the comeback, finding the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

Three minutes later Arturo Vidal put the game to bed with a bullet header into the top corner.

Then Sandro Wagner, who made the move to Munich from Hoffenheim this month, scored his first goal for the club.
