Cook Jor-dropper not enough to halt Hatters

- By

LEADERS Luton survived the first-half dismissal of Jordan Cook to beat Grimsby 1-0 at Blundell Park.

James Collins (below) grabbed the winner from close range four minutes into the second-half.

Malvind Benning was Mansfield’s unlikely match-winner when his stoppage-time goal earned a 2-1 win at Morecambe to move Town up to third.

Two goals from Enzio Boldewijn helped Crawley return to winning ways against Accrington.

The forward struck in the

15th and

33rd minute before Josh Yorwerth’s own goal gave the visitors hope.

It was Crawley’s seventh win in their last 10 league games.

Swindon staged a remarkable comeback from 3-1 down to beat Crewe 4-3 at the County Ground.

Marc Richards’ second goal in the 89th minute proved decisive.

He had given the home side an early lead before Callum Ainley equalised and then gave Crewe the lead with his second after half an hour.

Ryan Wintle’s strike made it a two-goal lead before supersub Elsnik scored twice for Swindon to make it 3-3. Crewe had Zoumana Bakayogo sent off and Richards then won the game for Town with his late effort.

David Worrall’s goal three minutes from time secured a point for Port Vale who drew 2-2 with Colchester.

It was Worrall’s second equaliser of the game after he cancelled out Courtney Senior’s early goal for Colchester.

Drey Wright struck just before the interval to give the visitors a 2-1 lead before Worrall left it late to earn Vale a point. Jamie Devitt scored the only goal of the game for Carlisle who beat Forest Green 1-0 at Brunton Park.

Stevenage won 1-0 at Chesterfield thanks to Ben Kennedy’s strike three minutes into the second half.

Barnet blew a chance to close the gap between themselves and Forest Green to two points after they drew 1-1 at Cheltenham.

The Bees led after just two minutes following Ricardo Santos’ goal.

But Mohamed Eisa earned the hosts a point with his equaliser in the 65th minute. MATT DOHERTY grabbed the winner against Ipswich to increase Wolves’ lead at the top of the Championship to a deadly dozen.

The full-back’s 15th-minute header was enough to clinch the points for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in a high-energy encounter at Portman Road.

Afterwards the Wolves boss insisted that nobody at Molineux is getting carried away yet.

He said: “I don’t look at the league table, I look game by game. It was important for us but the next game is in our minds now.

“We have to realise where we are and be happy about that but at the same time have this sense that we still have a long way to go.”

Wolves created several chances in the second half but were denied by some excellent goalkeeping by Ipswich’s Bart Bialkowski.
