MEL’S HELL OVER HER AWOL BOY
MEL Owen desperately tries to get her son Hunter back – with the help of Sharon Mitchell.
As viewers know, Ciara Maguire is keeping Hunter away from his mum until she gets her money and jewels back.
Ciara’s estranged husband Aidan got a gang together and stole the lot in a robbery over New Year.
But when they went to retrieve the goods from inside a coffin at Billy Mitchell’s funeral parlour it was gone.
In a shocking twist it was revealed that the loot had been nicked by Albert Square hardman Phil Mitchell’s son Ben.
The lad, who knew that his dad was involved in the robbery, stole the cash to get one over on him.
He fled to France only to discover that the cash had been replaced by a large pile of Walford Gazettes.
But during Friday night’s dramatic episode viewers finally discovered that it was Ben’s step-mum Sharon who nicked the money off him.
And since Mel found out that Sharon HARRIET Finch appears to have rumbled the sex secret between Laurel Thomas and Bob Hope.
Suspicious Harriet notices that something isn’t quite right with their relationship and starts to suspect something is going on.
As viewers know, Bob and Laurel enjoyed a one-night stand last year even though Bob was happily married to Brenda.
They both regretted their actions and Bob confessed to his missus that he’d had a fling but said it was someone from work.
Bob and Brenda split but were recently reconciled and plan to renew their wedding vows later this month.
But Harriet has too much time on her hands since turning her back on the church and grows preoccupied with Laurel.
And when she spots how the pair behave around each other she is determined to get to the bottom of it.
Everyone will have to wait to see has got the money, she’s been more determined than ever to use it to get her son back.
An EastEnders insider said: “Mel just wants Hunter back.
“She’s spent all these weeks carrying out Ciara’s dirty work and wants a fresh start in Walford.
“Sharon agrees to help and the pair go off to pay Ciara a visit. Whether they hand over the loot remains to be seen. But one thing’s for sure – Ciara is not a woman to be crossed.”

An Emmerdale source said: “Harriet walked away from the church but is desperate to be reinstated as a vicar.
“She goes to see Bishop Barry but he refuses to give her job back. As she ponders her future she starts to notice that there is something going on between Laurel and Bob.
“Bob’s only just reconciled with Brenda but she sees the way he acts when he’s around Laurel. Harriet starts to take a bit of an interest and it looks like their sex secret will finally be revealed.”
