The ex-Manchester United and Celtic midfielder passed away from pancreatic cancer three months after being diagnosed.

Former England skipper Becks, 42, said on Instagram: “Our thoughts are with Liam’s family. Rest in peace.”

Rio Ferdinand, 39, who lost his wife Rebecca to cancer in 2015, played with dadof-three Miller at United.

He wrote: “Waking up to the news that my old @ManUtd teammate Liam Miller has passed away. Such tragic news...my thoughts go out to his family.”

United skipper Michael Carrick, 36, tweeted: “Terribly sad to hear the news of Liam Miller passing away this morning.

“Liam was at utd when I first signed. Same age as me. So very sad.”
