BOXER Amir Khan admits he can’t change a nappy.

The former world light-welterweight champ is so bad he has been banned from trying it again by his wife Faryal Makhdoom.

The couple welcomed their first child Lamaisah in 2014 and Amir’s attempt to change her nappy didn’t go well. In an exclusive chat, boxer Amir, 31, said: “I tried to help when it came to changing nappies. But I did it the wrong way round, believe it or not.

“It was really bad. My wife was saying, ‘Oh… don’t do that again.’ So now I leave the nappies to her.” Amir and Faryal are expecting their second child this spring. He added: “I’m really looking forward to being a dad again. We’ve got four months to go, so fingers crossed it all goes well. “All I know is it’s my job to be good in the boxing ring and to be a good father to my kids.” Amir and Faryal are back on track after their marriage hit the rocks last year. They split last summer amid allegations of infidelity, but within months they had reunited. When he entered I’m A Celebrity in the autumn they put on a united front and insisted they were looking to the future. He is now in training for a comeback fight against Phil Lo Greco in Liverpool, on April 21.

And Amir reckons his stint in the TV jungle has helped to improve his public image. He said: “I had never known how big the show was until I got back. There were people telling me, ‘I’ve seen the show and it was amazing’.

“Life has been nice since leaving the jungle. People who aren’t fans of sport got to know me more.

“They got to know what I’m really like as a person, instead of just knowing me a boxer. It was nice to come back and get so much love from people.”
