EX-CORRIE SEX PEST IN AMAZON STORM

- ■ EXCLUSIVE by ED GLEAVE edward.gleave@dailystar.co.uk

AMAZON are refusing to stop selling a children’s book featuring former Coronation Street star and convicted sex pest Bruno Langley.

Poems For Cheeky Children is still available on the site despite calls for it to be removed.

Langley narrates on the audio book, which is for sale via Amazon’s Audible service. It includes 19 poems and is aimed at children as young as five.

The 34-year-old admitted groping two women on a boozy night out.

He was handed a 12-month community order, including 40 days of rehabilitation, at a hearing last November.

Since then Langley, inset, has had professional help for his issues by attending therapy sessions.

Furious parents have contacted Amazon because the site is continuing to sell the book, published by Baby Potatoes Productions.

But an official response from Audible revealed they currently have no plans to remove it. A statement said: “Our content team will investigate this matter and whether we can remove the audiobook(s) from this narrator from Audible.co.uk.” But parents’ groups were last night planning to launch a petition to have the book removed.

Langley’s offences have left his public image in tatters. For 16 years he played Todd Grimshaw, Corrie’s first openly gay character. But after his victims contacted police he was suspended and later axed from the soap.

The Daily Star Sunday revealed in December that many of his former co-stars had turned their backs on him in the wake of his groping shame. Favourites including Antony Cotton, Cath Tyldesley and Brooke Vincent “unfollowed” him on social media channels.
