Lethal Ade adds to Wycombe goal tally

WYCOMBE closed the gap on Sky Bet League Two leaders Luton to five points with a 2-0 win at Cheltenham.

Adebayo Akinfenwa (below) opened the scoring with his 15th goal of the season five minutes before half-time and Paris Cowan-Hall made sure of the victory in first-half stoppage time.

Accrington slipped to third place on goal difference after they could only draw 1-1 at bottom club Barnet.

19th goal from the penalty spot.

Mansfield climbed up to fourth place thans to Danny Rose’s strike just before the break which earned a

Paul Mullin hit a late winner as Swindon extended their home winning run to five games with a 3-2 victory over Port Vale.

Michael Tonge gave Vale an 11th-minute lead before Marc Richards got the first of his double to level matters in the 24th minute. Richards’ seventh goal in seven games since joining the Robins made it 2-1 but Cristian Montano hauled the Valiants level before Mullin struck two minutes from time to win it.

Lincoln were another of the promotion-chasing sides to lose ground as they went down to a 3-1 defeat at Crawley. Jimmy Smith put Harry Kewell’s side ahead before Matt Green levelled for the Imps.

But second-half strikes from Josh Payne and Mark Connolly secured all three points. On-loan Shaun Miller scored the only goal to give Crewe a 1-0 win over Colchester and Miller’s parent club Carlisle beat Chesterfie­ld 2-0 courtesy of efforts from Kelvin Etuhu and John O’Sullivan.

Cambridge made it three wins in a row with a 3-1 victory over Grimsby with Uche Ikpeazu, Billy Waters and George Maris all on target.

Stevenage enjoyed a n easy 4-1 win over Yeovil, while Morecambe and Forest Green had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
