DANCING On Ice star Vanessa Bauer is hoping to skate her way into the final with Jake Quickenden.

And if our sizzling picture is anything to go by she certainly knows how to heat things up on the ice as the pair go into tonight’s semi-final.

Gorgeous Vanessa, 21, has revealed that she’s included a whopping three overhead lifts in each of their two routines. The dangerous “Detroiter” is the standout move. It will see Jake spinning around on the ice and lifting Vanessa above his head with one hand.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star Sunday, Germanborn Vanessa said: “We really want to make it to the final so we are throwing everything into both routines. We are putting in some big tricks. We have three overhead lifts and a lot of difficult foot work.

“The most risky lift we are doing is called the Detroiter where Jake will lift me while spinning on the ice.

“It’s dangerous, but I’m sure it will be fine.

“We are throwing everything into it and have been training for more than six hours every day. Jake has been great.

“We laugh a lot on the ice and it’s been such an amazing journey.”

The pair are favourites to win the ITV skating contest. Famous faces Max Evans, Kem Cetinay and Brooke Vincent make up the remaining finalists.
