Thor-sty work for Spidey’s film pal

TOM’S RESCUED AT BAR

- ■ EXCLUSIVE by ED GLEAVE TV Editor

BABY-FACED Spider-Man actor Tom Holland had to ask Thor to buy him a drink in a bar.

At 21, the star is old enough to drink on both sides of the Atlantic.

But while making the latest Avengers film, Tom couldn’t get a round in on nights out with the cast because bar staff wouldn’t believe he was legal. Chris Hemsworth, 34, who plays Thor, had to step in and order the beers instead. Chris said: “They were long days and we would go out for a couple of beers after filming. “When he is cleanshaven, bless him, Tom Holland looks about 12 and the bar didn’t think he was old enough to grab a beer, so we had to get it for him!

“So while he might be an Avenger and he might help save the world he doesn’t look old enough to get a beer!” Avengers: Infinity War hits cinemas on Thursday and fans around the globe are desperate to see what happens to their favourite superheroes in the latest instalment.

Tom and Chris star alongside big names including Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana.

The film’s producers have gone allout to keep the plot secret.

Chris said: “We know the anticipation behind this movie and we know what it means to the fans…to have all these characters in one movie and have the worlds collide.

“Fans expect a lot and they are going to get it. Everybody has worked so hard and we are so proud of what we have produced.”

Infinity War is tipped to be the biggest film of the year.

Other stars in the cast include Josh Brolin, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Another instalment is due to be released next summer.

But bosses have insisted they cannot reveal its title because it would spoil key details about what happens in Infinity War.
