HALFWAY’S HIDING A BIG SECRET

HAPLESS lad Callum “Halfway” Highway makes his return to Albert Square – much to the delight of his girlfriend Whitney.

But as Whitney takes him off to the Queen Vic to celebrate with the rest of the Carters, his mind is clearly on other things.

As viewers know, Halfway was called back to the Army but has continued his long-distance relationship with his bubbly girlfriend.

When he arrives back from duty she just assumes he has turned up to surprise her and can’t wait to celebrate.

But troubled Halfway is hiding something and everyone will have to wait to see whether he will reveal his secret – or whether Whitney will discover what it is before he has the chance.

An EastEnders insider said: “Whitney is delighted to have Halfway back home but everyone will soon DRUNKEN Daz Spencer lets slip a huge family secret following the death of his former sister-in-law Ali Spencer.

The village will be rocked this week by the news that Ali, who left after her partner Ruby Haswell died in the helicopter disaster in 2015, has also passed away.

Meddling Daz then tells his niece Amelia about her mum’s death instead of waiting for his brother Dan to return home. Grief-stricken Dan is furious that Daz didn’t wait as he tries to comfort his daughter.

But as the Spencers try to deal with the fall-out, Daz takes himself off to the pub to drown his sorrows.

As our picture shows, he bumps into Dan’s other half – motormouth Kerry Wyatt – at The Woolpack and drunkenly reveals one hell of a family secret. Everyone will have to realise that all is not well with the Army boy.

He is deeply troubled and knows he must talk to Whitney. But with the Carters all so happy to see him he doesn’t think the time is right.

Whether their relationship will go the distance remains to be seen.”

Halfway comes back to Albert Square a week tomorrow. wait to see what Daz has been keeping hush-hush all these years. An Emmerdale insider said: “Little Amelia is beside herself when Daz breaks the news of her mother’s death.

“Dan arrives home in the aftermath and can’t believe that his brother decided to tell his daughter without his permission.

“There is a lot of tension between the two brothers so Daz decides to head to the pub.”

Dan’s girlfriend Kerry sees the state he is in and goes over to speak to him. It’s then that he blurts out a huge secret that could have a huge impact on family.

Kerry must then decide if she should tell Dan...or keep quiet about it too.
