X FACTOR bosses tried to poach Jennifer Hudson from The Voice.

Producers are hunting for a star name to join this year’s series and hoped she would switch shows.

Jennifer, 36, has been a coach on The Voice for two years and fans love her sassy comments.

X Factor chiefs tabled a big-money offer but failed to secure her.

Jennifer last night confirmed: “I have been asked to do another show, but I didn’t go for it. “The Voice is more of a fit for me. I love the positivity in it. I like that we have coaches, not judges like they do on X Factor. It means we have had similar experiences to the contestants.

“We have had a career and therefore we can direct them to where they want to go. I don’t think other shows can offer the same thing.”

Jennifer has spent a decade in the industry and won an Oscar for her performance in Dreamgirls.

Three years ago X Factor bosses nicked Rita Ora from The Voice. They now face a battle to find a big name for this year’s panel as filming is due to begin in the next few months.

Pop babe Nicole Scherzinger was axed weeks ago while Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne are also said to be at risk.

Reports have claimed Cheryl Tweedy, Craig David and Louis Tomlinson could be signed up. Meanwhile, it emerged last week that Little Mix babe Perrie Edwards is also in the frame.

Presenter Dermot O’Leary has also said there could be five judges, which would be a show first.

Audition rounds have been held in Benidorm and Tenerife in a bid to find new talent.

AMANDA Holden regularly gets a ticking off from her husband thanks to her big gob.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 47, is famed for her chatty persona and is often looselipped on TV and online.

Now she has told how Chris Hughes puts her “on the naughty step” when she goes too far.

Amanda said: “Much to my husband’s dismay I confess something to a newspaper or something or other every week by accident or on Twitter.

“I have no more secrets because of social media and life in general. I wear my heart on my sleeve.

“Obviously there are personal things which I would not broadcast. But I regret saying things every week – and Chris puts me on the naughty step. He says, ‘I can’t believe you would say that Mandy’.”

Amanda once let slip that she and Chris often get intimate on the sofa while they are watching box sets. The confession to the Daily Star Sunday left him red-faced.

Another time, while hosting ITV’s Lorraine show, she told viewers that she has a “magic box” of sex toys.

And in a further confession she revealed ex-hubby Les Dennis used to do his impression of Corrie’s Mavis Riley when they were in bed.

But Amanda claims she can’t help being indiscreet because it runs in her family.

She said: “My mum is very similar…and my gran. We are very gobby. My worst habit is interrupting people. But I have always had to do it as there are so many women in my family and if I had not done it I would not be able to speak.

“I think it’s about fighting to try and get a word in. My mother and gran always say, ‘I am sorry Amanda, I have got to tell you the truth’.

“It is always about something I have said or worn.”

Amanda has worked alongside Simon Cowell on BGT since 2007. But she insisted he is safe from having any secrets exposed.

She said: “I have not got anything on Simon Cowell. To be honest, Piers Morgan has more on me. He is just a bloodhound turned gamekeeper. But I am proud of this country because people are outspoken.”

While Amanda has vowed not to embarrass Simon, he is still facing public humiliation from ex Sinitta. We told last weekend how she reckons he should be “worried” about her new book.
