FOOTBALL stars are flogging their extravagant homes in an eye-watering end-of-season sale.
The mansions are every bit as stunning as you would expect from ex-Prem players whose flash pads total a combined sale price of £75 million – enough to buy Mo Salah twice last summer.
Most of those listed were once, or still are, the homes of former Manchester City and Manchester United big names.
But the most expensive is being sold by football journeyman-turned -businessman Ashley Ward.
Ward, who is married to Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn, now builds and renovates luxury homes for footballers but has put the couple’s own home on the market for £13m.
The huge sum gets the buyer of the 12-acre property in Alderley Edge 11 bedrooms, an indoor swimming pool and a cinema room.
Ex-United skipper Roy Keane’s
£9.5m house is the second priciest, followed by the home Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic was renting during his 18 months with the Red Devils.
Zlatan, far left, this year left a £5m rented luxury house in exclusive Hale, Cheshire, for Los Angeles to play for LA Galaxy.
A cool £4.75m will get you former United and England defender Wes Brown’s newly-converted five-bed and an additional three-bedroom bungalow in Knutsford.
West Brom’s Gareth Barry is selling his rural £4.5m estate which boasts stables and a leisure complex across its 30 acres in the Cheshire village of Sproston.
England women’s manager Phil Neville has put his three-storey Manchester penthouse on the market for £3.5m.
The ultra-modern pad comes with four bedrooms, three private terraces and five parking spaces for a fleet of supercars.
Ex-England captain Rio Ferdinand’s
£3m mansion, in footballer hotspot Alderley Edge, is on sale, and a white Victorian villa former Man City left-back Wayne Bridge once rented in Cheshire is up for grabs at
£2.37m.
Bridge’s former Man City team mate Stephen Ireland has his country pile on the market for £4m.
Ex-Man Utd star Andy Cole’s place is on the market for £3.1m and his former strike partner Dwight Yorke’s home is up for £2.1m.
Once Liverpool’s record signing, Emile Heskey is selling his detached family house in Hale for £2.6m, but will probably take his framed shirts, hanging in the gym, with him.
