Time off’s a turn-on as things hot up in the sun

GET ready for a sizzling bonk holiday weekend!

Soaring temperatures and extra free time will see lusty couples across the UK diving into bed – or even a field or a park – for a May Day fumble.

A survey of 2,000 people by Lovehoney – Britain’s biggest online sex toy retailer – revealed the sun is a great aphrodisiac for randy Brits.

And with the mercury set to hit 28 degrees in parts of the UK tomorrow, things could hot up in the bedroom too. The Lovehoney poll found that 87% of couples are more likely to have sex during a bank holiday weekend than a normal one.

And the findings showed that today is a real turn-on because the prospect of an extra day off gives people the feelgood factor.

A further 57% of couples said they like to spend most of the Sunday in bed during a threeday weekend.

A Lovehoney spokesman said: “Bank holidays are a brilliant time for passion – sexual activity definitely increases when we have a long weekend.”

Experts say a combination of mood-boosting good weather, time off work and wearing fewer clothes always fuels saucy behaviour.

The spokesman added: “The summer is coming and we are all feeling frisky.

“The sun shining changes everyone’s mood and, of course, means we are wearing far fewer clothes.

“It’s much easier to flirt and have fun when the weather is warm – and that means a lot more of us are getting it on right now.”

The findings also showed that

62% of people romp more frequently when they are on holiday.

Having sex on the beach was picked as the most popular spot for outdoor nookie, according to

57% of those questioned. Doing it in a beauty spot came in at second place with 24%.

Another 31% said that they liked getting it on in fields or public places such as parks when the sun was out.
