STAR THE PERFECT REMEDY FOR DOCTOR DOLITTLE

-

ADELE has bagged her first big acting role in Robert Downey Jr’s remake of Doctor Dolittle.

But fans of the singing superstar won’t get to see the icon on screen – they will only be able to hear her distinctive cockney tones!

I can exclusively reveal the Hello star has agreed to voice one of the animated animals.

And she’s landed the perfect acting tutor in the shape of 2013 Oscar winner

Jennifer Lawrence, who will help her learn her lines.

My source said: “Adele jumped at the chance to voice one of the animals.

“She told producers she’d love to play a hippo, a pig or a duck if possible as she thinks they would be the funniest.”

Adele has already bagged an Academy Award and Golden Globe for her singing, but acting gongs could follow after Hollywood’s leading lady Jennifer offered her expertise. My LA insider said: “Jennifer and Adele are close friends so it was a no-brainer that Jen would offer acting tips.

“She’s offered to help with her lines and give any advice she can. “Who knows what could happen in the future. “Adele wouldn’t be the first singer to cross over into major movies.” The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle is expected to be one of the biggest grossing films of 2019.

I can also reveal Charlize Theron has just been added to the star-studded cast which already includes Tom Holland, Emma Thompson, Antonio Banderas, John Cena, Marion Cotillard, Ralph Fiennes, Selena Gomez, Octavia Spencer, Jim Broadbent and Michael Sheen.

The Universal Pictures film, which stars Robert Downey in the lead role, is filming at Pinewood. It is expected to be released in April next year.
