Flashpoints, red faces & racy snaps
LOVEBIRDS Harry and Meghan have had their fair share of controversy over the years.
The “Party Prince” first landed himself in the headlines aged 17 when he confessed to smoking cannabis and his father Charles sent him to visit patients at a drug treatment centre.
In 2004, at the age of 20, he got into a scuffle with a photographer as he left the London nightclub Pangea, with the snapper suffering a cut lip.
And there was outrage in 2005 when Harry was pictured at a fancy dress party wearing a Nazi uniform, complete with a swastika armband.
In 2009, a video emerged in which he referred to an Asian colleague as “our little P*** friend”. And while in the Army on night manoeuvres in Cyprus, he was heard telling a comrade: “F*** me, you look like a raghead.”
In 2012, pictures emerged of a naked Harry with a girl in Las Vegas, heaping more embarrassment on his family.
In one image Harry, then 27, was seen cupping his crown jewels in his hands as he stood in a £5,000-a-night suite, reportedly after a game of strip pool. Since then, Harry has been on his best behaviour, throwing himself into his charity work.
And while Meghan may seem like the perfect princess, she also enjoyed a wild youth.
University pals have told of her love of SCUFFLE: Harry is held back outside Pangea nightclub in 2004 after a clash with a photographer drinking and nights out while studying at Northwestern University in Chicago. She was a member of an all-female group called the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, noted for their hard partying.
Former pals claimed she had a fake ID and was a fan of drinking underage at a bar called The Keg. Meghan also posed for racy snaps eight years before landing a role in US TV show Suits in 2011.
And earlier this year, pictures of her allegedly posing topless on holiday were published on a website.
The snaps, taken in 2016, reportedly show Meghan “parading around topless” and wearing the blue bracelet Harry gifted her from his trip to Africa.
Meghan has also had turbulent relationships with partners and family members. In 2004 she dated film producer Trevor Engelson. They were engaged in 2010 and married in Jamaica in 2011. But they divorced two years later due to the pressures of Meghan working in Toronto and Trevor in Los Angeles.
Samantha Grant, 52, who is Meghan’s half-sister from her dad Thomas’ first marriage, has accused her of having a “hardened heart” and ignoring the family since she got engaged.
She is also writing a book about Meghan with the working title The Diary Of Princess Pushy’s Sister.
