Busk In London has partnered with technology company iZettle to hand performers readers that set a fixed amount.
Launching the scheme, London’s mayor Sadiq Khan said: “Now, more Londoners will be able to show their support to the capital’s brilliant, talented street performers.”
Charlotte Campbell has been trialling the project.
She said: “More people than ever tap-to-donate whilst I sing, and often, when one person does, another follows.”
