A MILLION REASONS TO LOVE THE ISLE

Telly’s sexiest show is

return of Love Island is just days away…and this year’s stars could make millions.

Sexy Tyla Carr helped to make last year’s series a ratings smash.

And since then the model’s earnings have gone through the roof.

In an exclusive chat, Tyla, 23, said: “It’s definitely made some of us millionaires. It’s been a huge boost for me financially.

“It really pushed my work forward. You get a lot more opportunities. I’ve been able to buy lots of things – mainly bags and shoes – and I’ve been on a lot of holidays!

“I got a lot more from it than I thought I would. I had a huge shock when I came out. Everyone who goes on it this year, it’s going to change their lives for the better.

“It’s changed my life a lot, especially with work. I go to a lot more parties and premieres now. I get lots of free stuff, which is always nice!

“It’s changed my life for the better. It taught me a lot about myself. And I met some great people on it.”

Love Island, which is on ITV2, is notorious for its contestants having sex on camera. But Surrey-born Tyla has warned TV romps can “tarnish” your career prospects.

She said: “I didn’t have sex on the show and I’d advise girls not to do it.

“I mean, it is six weeks and if you have a holiday romance it’s exciting and you do think you want to do it. But I would advise girls to hold themselves well. You will get better jobs after the show if you don’t do it. If you have sex on the show it can tarnish your image just a little bit. So it’s better not to.

“It’s important to be true to yourself. If you do that it will come across to the audience.”

Last years’ series was the biggest in Love Island history thanks to favourites including Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay. It pulled in up to three million viewers and thrashed its Channel 5 rival Big Brother.

But Tyla has warned the producers might struggle to replicate the success when it returns on June 4.

At the Bromley Boys premiere, she said: “I am so excited to see who they’ve got on the show. I’m absolutely buzzing. But it’s going to take a hell of a lot to live up to our series. It will take a lot to find people like Chris and Kem.

“Our series just seemed to work. Everyone was a strong character. Camilla was super nice, Chris and Kem kept everyone else sane by being so insane.

“The dynamic of it was just perfect. So if they can find the right people this year, that will happen again naturally.”

Most of last year’s couples have split since leaving the villa.

But Tyla said: “It can be a good place to find love. You’re isolated from the outside world so you really get to know everyone.

“I learned a hell of a lot about myself too. It helped me love myself more, which made it easier for me to find love after the show.”
