CO-STARS BOND OVER BANGERS Ri & San: We love a bit of sausage

POP babe Rihanna and Oscar winner Sandra Bullock have bonded over their shared love for sausage.

The A-list stars worked together on new blockbuster Ocean’s 8.

And they became close pals after nipping off to munch on hot dogs between filming scenes.

Rihanna, 30, said: “I love cheeseburgers, I love hot dogs, I love pizza and they were such long days when we were filming that we had to keep our energy up!

“Myself and Sandra found this place that served the best hot dogs. We definitely bonded over hot dogs.”

Rihanna has only appeared in a handful of films so she was thrilled to learn from Sandra, 53.

She added: “Sandra is one of the greatest actresses ever, so I was like a sponge around her, learning all I could. And if I could do that over a chilli dog and seasoned fries then even better.” Producers hired Rihanna for Ocean’s 8 after seeing her in bigbudget flicks including Battleship and the 2014 remake of Annie.

In the heist film, fans will see her playing a tech genius nicknamed Nine Ball who acts as a hacker for a gang of thieves.

Rihanna said: “I am obviously not a hacker, but there are parts of the real me in the character. She doesn’t care what people think about her, she is totally just being her – and that’s the place I try to be.”

Ocean’s 8 is a spin-off from the Oceans trilogy which starred George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon.

This time the main stars are all women – including Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway. There are also cameos from Serena Williams, Kim Kardashian and Meryl Streep. Rihanna said: “I wanted to learn off everybody. None of us want to make a big deal about it being an all-female cast.”
