X FACTOR CHAMPS HAPPY WITH ‘RISKY’ RELEASE

-

X FACTOR winners Rak-Su will kick-start their careers by releasing their “risky” new song PyroTing this month.

I can reveal the popular boyband have worked with electro-Caribbean producers Banx & Ranx on the track. And they are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album, which is scheduled for release in October.

In my exclusive chat, hunky Myles Stephenson said: “The new song comes out in three weeks called PyroTing. It is a risky move because it has a heavy baile funk sound which isn’t as well known as it will be. We’ve teamed up with Banx & Ranx, who currently have a huge single out called Answerphone, featuring Ella Eyre.”

I told you last week how 2015 winner Louisa Johnson’s debut album has been shelved due to poor single sales.

And 2016 champ Matt Terry has also been dropped recently. In fact, you have to go all the way back to 2012’s James Arthur to find a winner who still has a record deal.

But Myles, Ashley Fongho, Jamaal Shurland and Mustafa Rahimtulla are confident of breaking the trend.

The X Factor stars’ single Dimelo was a huge hit and Myles said: “We have had the best response from everyone at the label who are really confident about our new music and what we have created. They are backing us 100 per cent.”

Myles revealed Syco boss Simon Cowell was also happy, despite the boys not seeing him since they signed their deal earlier this year.

He added: “He’s constantly having input into our music, he’s signed off the new track which he loves and has a brilliant team around him.”

Myles and Ashley compete against each other in today’s Soccer Aid for UNICEF.

Ashley added: “One of the first things we asked management when we won X Factor was, ‘Does this mean we can now play Soccer Aid?’”

Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2018 is on ITV tonight at 6.30pm.
