Brit cash row with ex-hubby

-

BRITNEY Spears will be quizzed about her wild spending habits in a court showdown with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

A judge has ordered them both to appear before him on August 1 over Federline’s bid to increase the £15,000 a month she pays him in child support.

In legal papers filed at Los Angeles Superior Court, Federline is demanding three times that amount.

He claims he can’t afford to keep their kids in the same style as Britney, worth almost £200million.

The couple were married for three years before they divorced in 2007 after a string of public meltdowns which twice landed Britney in a hospital psychiatric ward.

They share custody of sons Sean, 12, and Jayden,

11, with Federline, 40, as their principal guardian.

His lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan said: “He merely wants the reasonable needs of his children to be met when they stay with him, his new wife and their other four children. This is a reasonable request.”

He added that Britney, 36, whose Piece Of Me Tour is scheduled to resume next month, will be “questioned closely” about her extravagant spending.

Their questions will be based on figures revealed as a result of an order under which her dad Jamie has control of her finances.

These figures reveal she blew almost £100,000 on personal massages alone last year. A further £30,000plus went on “pet spa” days for her dogs and other “luxury expenditures.”
