The work-shy star, 37, hired a girl with a similar Essex accent to do the read-through rather than waste hours in the recording studio.

Gemma’s lifestyle guide How To Be A Diva promises fans an insight into her showbiz lifestyle.

But those who buy the recording on internet service Audible will hear narrator

Kirsty Whyte instead of the

TOWIE fave.

And Gemma’s fans were not impressed with many criticising her online.

One moaned:

“That’s not even her voice.”

Her rival reality stars including Love

Island hunk Chris Hughes and Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt recorded the audio versions of their books themselves.

Gemma is listed as author of How To Be A Diva but she recently admitted it was actually penned by a

ghostwriter. She said: “I got offered to do a book and they said to me ‘Gem, you’re so busy, how about we get someone to walk around with you with a dictaphone’ and that’s how we did it.”

She has suffered a string of gaffes while promoting the book.

In one chapter she recalls being bullied at school, but when asked about it in an interview the dippy diva had no idea what the reporter was talking about.

Gemma said: “I’ve not read that bit in the book. Where was that? I’ve not seen that bit so I can’t comment.” And a celebrity magazine printed a transcript of her refusing to answer basic questions about the book. Gemma, who previously worked as a car saleswomen, loves living up to her diva reputation.

She fled I’m A Celebrity after only a few days because she hated life in the jungle.

And on Celebrity Big Brother she refused to do a string of tasks. But Gemma is convinced she is a grafter and declares in her book: “I’ve earned my divaship through many years of hard work, hairdryers and broken hearts.”
