A GANG of thugs pelted a woman with flour and eggs after a row in the street – then posed for photos.

The photo of the laughing louts, thought to be teenagers, was circulated on social media, sparking outrage.

The woman, thought to be in her 40s, is pictured cowering on a bench as the hooligans grin with their thumbs up behind her.

A 17-year-old boy and two 15-year-olds have been arrested after the incident, which took place on the Howard estate in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, on Friday afternoon.

A crowdfunding page was set up by kindhearted strangers to help the woman and raised £50 but it was taken down shortly after.

One woman wrote: “I have been informed by the lady’s friend that this page is something the lady does not want.”

Those who had donated were later told that they would receive their money back.

A force spokesperson said: “Suffolk Police are aware of the photograph being circulated on social media regarding an incident on the Howard estate.

“The lady has been traced and is in good health.”

HERE’S Corrie legend Charlie Lawson filming emotional scenes for his comeback as Jim McDonald.

The telly favourite – famed for his “So it is” catchphrase – is returning to the ITV soap after four years away. Charlie, 58, was reunited with co-star Beverley Callard, 61, to film at a cemetery close to the show’s set in Manchester. Fans will see iconic couple Jim and Liz meet at the graveside of their late daughter Katie.

And as our exclusive snaps show, it will be a heart-wrenching scene for the pair. However, Corrie bosses are lining up a twist – Katie is still alive.

After she was born there was a mix-up at the hospital, meaning Liz and Jim were wrongly told she had died.

In fact she was adopted and renamed Hannah.

But after turning 18 she tracks down Jim and Liz to give them the shock of their lives.

Katie will be played by actress Hannah Ellis Ryan.

Jim will also be back on the cobbles for the wedding of his son Steve and Tracy Barlow (Simon Gregson and Kate Ford).

Your on-the-ball Daily Star Sunday revealed in March that Jim was set for a return to Corrie.

Just a month later show bosses confirmed he’d be returning and said: “We’re delighted he is coming back for what will be a typically explosive Jim storyline.” Northern Irish actor Charlie’s comeback marks the start of his fifth stint on the show. He will be back for a short period before returning full-time next year.

Charlie first played Jim on Corrie in 1989 and went on to become one of the show’s best-loved characters.
