On a high at festival

- ■ EXCLUSIVE by JAMES INGHAM james.ingham@dailystar.co.uk

ADRENALINE junkies now have their very own music festival on top of The

O2 Arena, writes Charles Wade-Palmer.

Summer Lates – Up at The

O2 is the stuff of nightmares for anyone scared of heights as festival goers must scale the iconic 170ft high dome and face jawdropping views.

Before dancing to a live concert at the top, revellers are kitted out in safety gear and clipped onto a cable running alongside an almost vertical bouncy path to the summit.

Climbers can enjoy mocktails at the top – with booze banned on safety grounds.

Up at The O2 runs every Friday in August.

JORGIE Porter fears she will end up as an old spinster with cats after a string of relationship disasters.

The former Hollyoaks hottie has given up on men after failing to find love.

Single Jorgie, 30, who recently appeared on E4’s Celebs Go Dating, said: “I’ve turned 30 now and I am still single. In fact, my love life couldn’t be worse.

“I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I’m giving up on men.

“Half the time I can’t keep a man and the other half of the time I’m just too fussy. I’m not sure if it’s them or me, but I’ll probably end up an old lady with cats.”

Jorgie is now starring in a musical tour of the iconic dance movie Fame.

The former I’m A Celeb star plays lead character Iris Kelly, alongside soul-singer Mica Paris and Any Dream Will Do runner-up Keith Jack.

Talking about her debut stage role Jorgie said: “I’ve done ballet from the age of three so it is the dream role for me.

“As a little girl I always wanted to be a ballerina – well, until I discovered football as a teenager. Mum also told me I only wanted to play football because I fancied the boys. They used to give me abuse, but apparently I liked it. I stuck it out for a year before giving it up.

“I’ve always been rubbish with men. I didn’t even get a boyfriend out of it back then.

“To be honest, it’s probably best that I don’t have a boyfriend while I’m dancing in Fame because my crotch ends up in another boy’s face!”

After the tour Jorgie, who played soap character Theresa McQueen for eight years, is considering moving back to Hollywood.

She added: “I actually lived in the USA for two years, but I don’t think people really noticed.

“I went to acting classes with loads of people who didn’t know who I was. To be honest I needed time out. I needed a break.

You can lose yourself in this industry. You can forget who you are.

“I wanted to remind myself why I like acting and to learn new things and learn my craft.

“I’d like to go back and do more auditions to see what happens.”

●Fame the Musical is touring until

2019. See fameuktour.co.uk for details.
