PAMMY: I WANT TO BE A MAMMY AGED 51
PAMELA Anderson is set to have IVF treatment to become a mum again.
The former Baywatch beauty, 51, already has two grown-up sons with rocker Tommy Lee – the first of her three former husbands.
She now wants a child with French footballer Adil Rami, 32, inset, who is reported to have proposed to her.
A close friend said: “She had her eggs frozen years ago and is determined to have a baby with Adil, even though she knows the process can be gruelling at her age with no guarantee of success.”
Pam is said to have been inspired to become pregnant again by Janet Jackson and Brigitte Nielsen, both of whom recently gave birth in their fifties.
The friend said Pamela has told her sons Brandon, 22, and Dylan, 20, who have given their blessing.
She added: “Both are excited by the prospect of having a new sibling, even though they are slightly worried about her health.
“They are old enough to understand that in vitro sessions can be gruelling for a woman and – if her dream comes true and she does get pregnant – simply carrying a child then giving birth in her fifties will be a big physical ordeal.”
Years after Brandon was born, Pam winced at the memory of his “natural” home delivery, saying: “I had a wonderful midwife and I remember foolishly telling her, ‘I can handle pain. I’ve got tattoos!’. “The wake-up call was the first contraction. I was screaming.” Since then, Pam has beaten the potentially deadly hepatitis C virus, but has admitted the punishing treatment ravaged her body and left her susceptible to other illnesses. Her friend said: “No-one is trying to dissuade her from getting pregnant, but her body isn’t as strong as it was. “Her doctors will be monitoring her health very closely, especially as it could take years to get a result.” Pam now lives in France with Adil, who she met at the Monaco Grand Prix in May last year.
