THE ‘MURKY’ WORLD OF FOOTBALL ‘Some players treat women as sex toys... You have to do whatever they demand’

- ■ by JERRY LAWTON

FOOTBALL stars have been accused of treating women as “sex toys”.

TV presenter Lizzie Cundy, 50, called on clubs to rein in players over their “awful” treatment of women.

And glamour model Alicia Douvall, 38, inset, who has dated a string of footballers claimed some sportsmen just use women.

She said: “You know you’re just there to be their sex toy.

“You have to keep them interested for as long as possible and that means doing whatever they want.”

Lizzie urged women not to throw themselves at stars because they will end up hurt and disappointed.

Though her 18-year marriage to ex-Chelsea, Spurs and Ipswich Town defender Jason Cundy, 48, ended in divorce in 2012 she said he “never behaved like that”.

But while they were together she saw shocking behaviour from other stars.

The mum-of-two said: “Some footballers seem to think it’s

OK to have different morals to everyone else and I’m glad Jason never behaved like that.

“They have a ‘lads’ club’ culture where they do what they want and their treatment of women is awful.

“Football clubs need to stop letting players get away with it.

“They are role models and their sleazy behaviour should not be swept under the carpet.’’ Model Alicia claimed some stars think they can treat women any way they want.

The Celebrity Big Brother star said: “Footballers have mostly come from humble upbringings and are now earning these astronomical wages so they think they’re unstoppable.” And she said that sex with a footballer is “different from a normal boyfriend”.

She said: “They’ll ask you to do things you wouldn’t dream of. If you say no they’ll find a girl who’ll say yes.” But Alicia insisted she’s now “learned her lesson”. She added: “There will be no more footballers for me.’’
