LOVE Island winner Dani Dyer only went on the show after failing to land a dream role with her dad on EastEnders.
We can exclusively reveal that Dani auditioned for a part in Albert Square.
She decided to give reality TV a go when her hopes of co-starring on the hit BBC soap with father Danny were scuppered.
Dani claims EastEnders bosses will not let her join because they fear a public backlash.
The 22-year-old said: “I don’t know about EastEnders, they wouldn’t let me in it.
“They won’t let me, and are like, ‘it ain’t going to happen’.
“I think it’s because my dad is already on it so if I went on it there would be a massive outrage.”
The disappointment led aspiring actress Dani to audition for Survival of the Fittest and Love Island. A source added: “Dani’s dream job was working on EastEnders with her dad.
“She auditioned but was heartbroken when she didn’t get the part.
“She was sick of bar work and was struggling to make it as an actress so decided to do reality TV.
“Dad Danny wasn’t too keen at first but even he’s admitted it was the perfect move for her.”
Dani could now become a bigger star than her dad after wining Love Island along with boyfriend Jack Fincham, 26.
Earlier this week telly hardman Danny, 41, joked his daughter was now more famous than he was.
Experts predict she could earn £1million over the next 12 months – around triple that of her dad. ★
