Actress’ career in ruins as she flees house in disgrace
ROXANNE Pallett is facing a career crisis after quitting CBB.
The former soap babe, 35, has suffered a backlash since accusing Ryan Thomas of assault in the reality house.
Industry experts are now warning she will struggle to get telly work. A showbiz insider last night said: “Roxanne is looking at an uncertain future. The reaction she has had is one of the biggest in the history of CBB. “She will struggle to get big telly contracts now. This has been really damaging. Her reputation is at stake. “The next few weeks are key. Her management team have a big job on.” Roxanne has already filmed a string of other reality shows and has a panto job lined up for this Christmas.
But our source feels she could be exiled from showbiz. Roxanne made a complaint to CBB bosses after exCoronation Street actor Ryan, 34, did a boxing move on her last week. She said he punched her “repeatedly” and “unprovoked” before calling for him to be kicked out. But after footage of the incident was aired, she was accused of lying. Two former colleagues have also claimed she made false abuse claims about them in the past.
Meanwhile, scores of celebs have slammed her online, including stars she worked with on Emmerdale.
Roxanne faced more criticism last night as pal Ben Jardine spoke out against her.
He was the housemate she chose to confide in after the incident and he was left stunned by her claims.
But Ben was later evicted from the house and has now seen the footage.
He said: “I feel like I’ve been played and I’m very upset about it.
“After seeing the footage I am gutted. Things don’t add up and that hurts. The way it was portrayed to me was a totally different scenario.”
Speaking about Ryan, Ben added: “I’ve seen the footage. I think he’s a genuine guy. I hope he is all right.”
Roxanne fled the show after Friday night’s eviction because she heard the crowd chanting “Get Roxy out”.
She was yesterday seen leaving The Manor Elstree – Laura Ashley Hotel in Borehamwood, Herts, close to the CBB house.
Show insiders have warned she faces losing her appearance fee. Some viewers have called for her to donate the cash to a domestic abuse charity.
Roxanne has also become a target for taunts online. Former classmate Sophie Banks claimed she made her life “miserable” and took to Twitter to say she was pleased the nation could see the “bully’s true colours”. DAILY STAR SUNDAY SAYS
