Brit teen’s in US gun fan sights

-

A BRITISH teenager who survived a massacre in the US is living in fear of pro-gun groups.

Lewis Mizen lost 14 of his classmates when former student Nicholas Cruz opened fire at his Florida school in February.

Since then he has spearheaded a global campaign for stricter gun laws, which has made him a target.

Coventry-born Lewis, 17, said: “Despite the support for our cause, from the beginning there has also been a vicious backlash against our campaign. Many of us are targeted.”

Footage has emerged of some gun nuts using printed photos of teens who survived the massacre as shooting targets.

Despite the backlash, Lewis has vowed to dedicate his life to reforming laws in the US.

He said: “I want to do something meaningful. I don’t know whether that is run for office or work behind the scenes, but I want to be involved in something where I can make actual, meaningful change.”

Lewis tells his story in new documentary Killer In Our Classroom: Never Again on Tuesday at 10.45pm on BBC One.

MOST workers are relying on credit to make it to payday, a study has found.

Almost 80% of Brits use loans, credit cards or unplanned overdrafts to avoid going into debt while they wait for their monthly salaries, research for the Hastee Pay salary management app has revealed.
