ARC HEROINE MAKES A SUPERB COMEBACK – AND ALL ROADS LEAD TO PARIS…

COMEBACK queen Enable made a stunning return to the track yesterday.

After an absence of almost a year, the horse who conquered all before her in 2017 brushed aside the useful Crystal Ocean in the 188Bet September Stakes.

Frankie Dettori made all the running on John Gosden’s super filly who will bid to retain her Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe crown in Paris next month.

It was a day of reckoning for Enable, who has netted more than £4million in prize money and won five Group One races on the spin last season.

She looked as good as ever and was best priced 2-1 for the Arc last night after bookies took no chances. Paddy Power slashed her to 6-4 from 9-2.

Dettori said: “Her home work had been good but we hadn’t gone beyond a mile on the gallops and there was always that little bit of doubt in my mind if she was 100 per cent fit

“But she is trained by a master. You can always rely on him.

“I’m delighted, she was as good as ever. You’d expect her to improve and it’s all systems go to Longchamp to defend the Arc.”
