Don’t write off my ‘oldie’ Suze

ANTON du Beke has warned Strictly fans not to “write off” Susannah Constantine because of her age.

The pro dancer reckons she will be a hit despite being one of the oldest contestants at 56.

He said: “Debbie McGee was one of the older ones last year and she made it all the way to the final. I don’t see why Susannah shouldn’t be able to do that. Some people have written her off already. But I wouldn’t be so quick to do that.”

Anton, 52, has been training with her for a week.

He said: “The rehearsals have been great. I thought, ‘This could be a disaster’. But it was a case of, ‘Oh this is rather good, I never

thought you’d be able to do that’. I was very impressed. And I’m not just saying that because I’m her partner, I’m saying it because it’s true.
