Jailbird Charles’ ex says he’s a softy

THE wife of notorious lag Charles Bronson says he’s just a big girl’s blouse.

Actress Paula Williamson claims the inmate – dubbed Britain’s hardest prisoner – has conned his admirers outside jail.

Bronson’s wife of 10 months said he was really a “chubby cry baby” who sobbed when he was turned down for parole late last year.

And in an exclusive chat, Paula told the Daily Star Sunday how Bronson: Is now a scrawny “frail” old man. Is flabby due to gorging on pasties. Mocks his devoted fans who send him cash.

Spent money posted to him on boob jobs for strangers.

She said: “Charles Bronson is a liar and a phoney and people need to know the truth.

“He has thousands of fans who look up to him and think he’s this tough gangster type.

“Well he’s not this hard geezer – if anything he’s a frail little old man.

“At his parole hearing he started crying when he found out he’d been turned down. He also blubbed at our wedding – he’s soft.”

Paula, 38, recently separated from the 65-year-old, who was once famed for his muscly physique.

She revealed: “Charles isn’t buff any more. He’s lost loads of muscle mass and has saggy skin – I’m glad I never had to have sex with him.”

“I used to visit and spend £20 on lunch in the canteen for him.

“He’d scoff eight pasties in a row then go back to his cell for dinner.”

Paula also told how campaigning to have him freed from jail had left her broke, but Bronson is sitting on piles of cash sent to HM Prison Frankland by fans – who he belittles.

She added: “He gets sent money every day. If it’s £5 or even a tenner he takes the mickey out of them.

“Even people on disability benefits were sending him cash, which he’d just take and bin the letter without reading.

“If he didn’t get enough money from them he’d just stop writing to them.

“He’d also complain about the fans who would ask for a signature.

“Charles told me to sign the pictures for him because he couldn’t be bothered, but I said no.

“That’s the real reason he dumped me – because I wouldn’t jump to his every tune. Charles is a user. Once he’s done with you he casts you aside.”

Paula said Bronson, who is now said to be smitten with Simon Cowell’s ex Jasmine Lennard, sent money to strangers but never gave her a penny.

She added: “He once told me he’d given a woman £5,000 because she’d written to him asking for a boob job.

“He sent me a letter saying he was disappointed he never got to touch them. It made me feel sick.

“But even though he’s left me broke he can keep his money – I just want my divorce papers.”

Paula wed Bronson in November after they became pen pals.

But the lag, who changed his name to Charles Salvador after becoming an artist, vowed to divorce her after pictures emerged of a man burying his face in her breasts in a nightclub.

Bronson, first locked up for armed robbery in 1974, has had sentences added for attacking inmates, leading rooftop riots and taking hostages.
