‘Looking like BoJo gives me my mojo’

BORIS DOUBLE IS A HIT WITH LADIES...AND MEN

Daily Star Sunday - - FRONT PAGE - ■ EXCLUSIVE by ISOBEL DICKINSON

A BORIS Johnson lookalike says he gets swamped with saucy offers from both sexes.

And he reckons he has been an even bigger hit since the politician was dumped by his wife.

Drew Galdron says he has been chatted up by a string of girls and boys who have mistaken him for the former Foreign Secretary.

Boris, 54, is now single after long-suffering wife Marina, 54, chucked him out of their home after accusing him of cheating again.

Doppelganger Drew, who has been working as the Tory’s double since 2007 and is gay, said it had had a good impact on his love life. He said: “His new status has certainly helped in that department due to his sex symbol reputation.

“Looking like him has made me more popular with the ladies lately – but the only problem is I’m gay.”

Luckily for Drew, he is also chatted up by men in bars wanting photos with a lookalike of the leading Brexiteer.

Drew, who lives in London, said: “There is a gay bar near to where I live and when I go I literally have a line of men coming up to me one after the other.

“They ask for selfies with me and if I’m the real Boris. It’s really flattering but sometimes they just ask for pictures with me and don’t even want to chat, which I find rude.” Impersonator Drew also ticked Boris off for his recent behaviour.

Reports have linked the politician with former Tory public relations professional Carrie Symonds, 33.

He said: “I used to say I liked Boris but not his politics. But now I don’t even like him.

“If he ever became prime minister it would be great for me but terrible for this country. He’s bumbling and oafish.”

Drew, 35, once gave the real Boris a shock when the two of them came face to face in 2009.

Boris was holding a Mayor’s reception for London Pride which his doppelganger attended – and he was left speechless when they were introduced.

Drew said: “He stared straight at me and looked pretty shocked. He asked me how I was but looked like he had seen a ghost.”
