CBB was nearly the Ender me

-

CELEBRITY MasterChef contestant John Partridge claims going on CBB led to mental health problems.

The former EastEnders actor needed anti-anxiety medication after leaving the house in 2016.

John described doing the show as “absolute hell”.

He said: “The whole experience was really damaging. I didn’t think it would hit me like it did.

“Stephanie Davis was the same too.

“When I came out I went on tour to do what I knew and be with my theatrical family.”

John dubbed the reality show “the most unpleasant experience of my life”.

But said he has loved being on the BBC cooking competition.

John, 47, has appeared alongside Gemma Collins, Keith Allen and Frankie Bridge.

He said: “I really enjoyed the whole experience. It was really emotional actually and I liked the adrenaline of it all.”

John recently celebrated being sober for 300 days after revealing he has an alcohol addiction.

He has vowed never to drink or take drugs again.

John said: “I’d go out all night and you would never know – I would always go to work, and that’s how I kept it going.

“If you publicly break down that would mean doing something about it. Because I didn’t, that was my cover.”
